Nazarene Youth International (NYI):
The NYI represents young people from ages 12-25 -- from about 6th grade through college or just starting careers. Through the NYI, young people are given the opportunity to connect with God through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, to be involved in a community of like-minded believers, and to serve Christ, the church, and the community through acts of love.
Nazarene Missions International (NMI):
NMI is the organizational representative of missions for the Church of the Nazarene on the regional, district, and local levels. Our Mission Statement is: To mobilize the church in mission through prayer, education, giving, and interactive experiences.
Sunday School and Discipleship International (SDMI):
We believe that Sunday School is the place to discover what it means to be Christian, holiness people who are on a global mission to reach and disciple people of all ages.
Missional Development:
One of the Pittsburgh District's core values is "being missional." We understand this to mean that we are sent by God to share His love and message of life transformation in a culturally relevant way by developing significant relationships with others. We are helping local congregations be missional through church health coaching, church health training, and starting new churches. Click here
Center for Ministry Development (CMD):
The CMD is our way of combining a complex system of developmental ministries under one organizational umbrella. The CMD includes the Pittsburgh District Training Center (for ministerial education), Shepherds' Advance (for continuing education), and the Assessement Center (for evaluating and coaching those called into ministry).
