Pittsburgh District -- Core Values
 In addition to embracing the core values of the Church of the Nazarene -- Being Christian and Being Holy -- the Pittsburgh District shares the following core values:
Being Missional: We are called and sent as missionaries to share God's love in our local communities and around the world...wherever people need a life-transforming encounter with His Son, Jesus Christ.
Building Community: As people increasingly become high-tech and isolated, we offer a safe place where you can be connected to God and to others in a loving relationship.
Strengthening Local Churches: The local church is your contact with the Church of the Nazarene. We offer a number of resources to help these congregations and pastors be effective in their mission.
Developing Leadership: Through continuing education, pre-ordination assessments, workshops and the Pittsburgh District Training Center, we train our pastors and laypeople to be spiritual leaders, community influencers and competent administrators.
